Art Class in the Café Bar
Thursdays 10am – Noon. Starts Thursday 2nd May (excludes May 30th) Final Class July 18th
£132.00 for a 11 week term with an option not to attend up to two classes – 10 classes £120.00. Price includes a hot drink.
Taught by Sam, drawing classes will include still-life, copying exercises, illustration, art history, using pencil, charcoal, soft and oil pastels, coloured pencils, ink pen and watercolours. This term we will be concentrating on Illustration and Nature taking influence from William Morris, Picasso, Georgia O'Keefe, Stubbs, fossils, insects, guinea pigs, children's illustration and a chance to have a go at your own illustration or design.
All classes will be fun and easy and highly suitable for beginners and will give you the professional hints and tips you need to improve your artistic talents. All materials are provided EXCEPT an A3 spiral topped sketch pad. A hot drink will be served at 11am

Creative Writing in the Cinema
Thursdays 9.30am – 11.30am. Starts Thursday 2nd May (excludes May 30th, June 6th and June 13th) Final Class July 18th
£16 per workshop payable at the end of the first one for the whole term with an option not to attend one workshop. So nine workshops available with the option to pick just eight if you want to. Price includes a hot drink.
Facilitated by Patrick, the creative writing workshops are for all adult writers whether they are beginning their journey, perhaps working on their first collection of short stories or those who now consider themselves to be crafting their writing.
The workshops will enable the writers to develop skills in all aspects of writing effectively, for example, plot structure, shaping convincing and interesting characters, writing credible narrative.
All workshops will be enjoyably challenging and will also give you the professional hints and tips you need to improve your writing talents.
Please bring some paper and pencils. A hot drink of your choice will be served at 10am.

Italian Conversation Classes

Lovely, lively Italian conversation classes taught by Maria using official Language for Fun materials, your Italian conversation lesson will include a guided, themed weekly topic for an hour and a half in a relaxed fun environment. Expect to gain confidence in your conversation skills as the week’s progress. An essential work book will be sold for £10 at the start of term. A hot drink will be served during the class.

French Conversation Classes
Intermediates: Tuesdays 9.30am – 11.00am. Starts 30th April.

The Film Club
April 8th, May 20th, June 17th, and July 15th.
Price: £5 per session, payable on the night to include savoury nibbles to the value of £5. Drinks not included.
Why not come along to our film club which is a lively, intelligent mixed social group with a broad choice of films to choose from and lots of relaxed fun and conversation. Every month the group chooses a film to watch and then discussion topics for the club night.
How to book? You don’t book – just come along!
Knit & Natter Social Group
Fridays 10am – 11.30am. 3rd May - 19th July (excludes May 24th for half term)
Price: a compulsory purchase of one hot drink per session at a value of £2 or more.
Knit and Natter is a social group where you bring your knitting along and help and support each other with your craft. We will put the tables together to create an environment for you all to get to know each other. Many of the knitting group participate in knitting items for charity. Booking is essential and once the 26 places are gone, we will be full. This 26 person limit is so we have the right amount of staff to look after the group’s drinks. Please don’t book unless you are confident you can attend at least 11 of the 13 knitting sessions. Please book by popping your name down at the Red Carpet bar on the knitting list. Please note this is not a class with a teacher OR a group suitable for bringing children – it is an adult social group.
Terms and Conditions
There is a maximum capacity of 18 students per class. Full payment for all the sessions is required in order to reserve your place. These classes are for adults aged 18 or over only. Payment must be made at the bar. Gift vouchers to buy a course membership as a gift can be made in the same manner at the bar. No refunds for cancellations or transfers are given. Staff tickets, refund film tickets vouchers, charity film ticket vouchers cannot be used as part payment.
