Showing on Tuesday March 27th for one show only at 6.30pm and then join us for a set two course meal and some French conversation at 8.15pm.

Join us for a special showing of the fantastic French comedy The Names of Love ( Le nom des gens)

This film will be shown in French with subtitles in English and afterwards you are welcome to join us for a meal where a large party will be practising their French conversation skills gently aided by our language teacher Christianne.

You don't have to join the class. You are most welcome to see the film or book a meal without them - just let us know on arrival and we will seat you separately. However if you do choose to join the group you will be made most welcome. Most of our French conversationalists are beginner/ intermediate level of ability.

Film Synopsis

Bahia Benmahmoud,a free-spirited young woman, has a particular way of seeing political engagement, as she doesn't hesitate to sleep with those who don't agree with her to convert them to her cause - which is a lot of people, as all right-leaning people are concerned. Generally, it works pretty well. Until the day she meets Arthur Martin, a discreet forty-something who doesn't like taking risks. She imagines that with a name like that, he's got to be slightly fascist. But names are deceitful and appearances deceiving...
