Welcome to our sixth Wednesday Night Charity Season of films where ALL your ticket money goes towards rebuilding Holland Sports Club which is situated in the heart of the village of Barton under Needwood. We are hoping to raise £15,000 for the project by showing a classic film once a month, on a Wednesday evening and donating all the ticket money. Unusually, I’m asking for you to pay when you book your seat so I can hand it over immediately as soon as it comes in. The ticket money is non-refundable.
At the beginning of every film Jodie and I will keep you up to date with how much money has been raised and what is happening with the project. We’re expecting a great atmosphere as this is really important for the village and loads of people are involved. We may even have guest speakers!
So maybe you could open your diary and put these dates in and come and along and support us. They are all booking right now and what a combination of fantastic films they are. Whilst I’m thrilled to be a part of this fund-raising endeavour, The Red Carpet will have a lot of cost associated with staffing, hosting and preparing for this event so if you can afford to buy a drink or book a meal beforehand it’s very much appreciated but not necessary.
Here’s the fantastic line up...

Bohemian Rhapsody is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury. Freddie defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet. The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound. They reach unparalleled success, but in an unexpected turn Freddie, surrounded by darker influences, shuns Queen in pursuit of his solo career. Having suffered greatly without the collaboration of Queen, Freddie manages to reunite with his bandmates just in time for Live Aid. While bravely facing a recent AIDS diagnosis, Freddie leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. Queen cements a legacy that continues to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day.
