Join us for the reading group at the Red Carpet Cinema exploring both classic and modern literature. The classes are run by Sarah, an experienced teacher of English and the Red Carpet’s Creative Writing tutor, who will guide you through the texts in a fun and informative way.  Every term, we read two texts and watch a film adaptation of each. This term we will be reading the plays All My Sons by Arthur Miller and A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare.  You will need the Penguin Modern Classics edition of All My Sons with an introduction by Christopher Bigsby (ISBN 978-0-141-18997-0) and any edition of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Please note that All My Sons deals with the themes of grief and suicide.

You will need a copy of both books, a pen and a notepad.

Sarah has a Master's Degree in English Language, a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and has written a range of academic materials. She has been teaching and tutoring English Language and Literature for over twenty-five years.  She runs a fun, supportive, interesting group where everyone can join in - no matter how nervous you may feel about your abilities.
