The Scarecrows’ Wedding, by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, is a charming story about two scarecrows, Betty O’Barley and Harry O’Hay, who fall in love and plan their perfect wedding, but their plans are threatened by a smooth-talking, wicked scarecrow named Reginald Rake, leading to adventure, humor, and a lesson that love is about being together, not grand gestures, as Harry must become a hero to save their special day.
