Brad Pitt stars as retired Special Forces veteran James Belmont, who becomes stranded deep in the Alaskan wilderness with his loyal combat dog, Odin, following a devastating plane crash. Injured and miles from civilisation, the pair must rely on each other as they face a gruelling journey through unforgiving terrain and dangerous wildlife.
Directed by Fury filmmaker David Ayer, Heart of the Beast combines gripping survival adventure with a surprisingly moving story of trauma, loyalty and the extraordinary bond between a man and his dog. Critics have praised its emotional heart and spectacular wilderness photography, with Flickering Myth highlighting the film’s ability to find genuine soul in the relationship between its two battle-scarred veterans.
’A tense, beautifully shot big-screen adventure with Brad Pitt and one particularly unforgettable four-legged co-star.’
