The story behind one of the biggest scandals of the social-media age comes to the screen in Aaron Sorkin’s gripping companion piece to The Social Network.
When Facebook engineer Frances Haugen, played by Mikey Madison, becomes increasingly troubled by what she has discovered inside the company, she turns to Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz, played by Jeremy Allen White. Together they embark on a dangerous journey to expose some of the social network’s most closely guarded secrets, leading to the explosive revelations that became known as The Facebook Files.
Written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, Oscar-winning writer of The Social Network, the film boasts an impressive ensemble including Jeremy Strong as Mark Zuckerberg, alongside Wunmi Mosaku, Betty Gilpin, Billy Magnussen and Bill Burr.
With Sorkin returning to the world that produced one of the defining films of the digital age, The Social Reckoning turns the battle over Facebook’s secrets into a tense contemporary drama about power, journalism and speaking out.
