From the Page to the Pictures reading group - Mondays taught in the Cinema
Mondays: 9.30am – 11.30am. Starts Monday 8th January 2024 (excludes half-term Monday 12th February). Final class Monday 18th March.
£135.00 for a 10 week term. Price includes a hot or soft drink.
You can join at any time if there is space.
Join us for the reading group at the Red Carpet Cinema exploring both classic and modern literature. The classes are run by Sarah, an experienced teacher of English and the Red Carpet Creative Writing tutor, who will guide you through the texts in a fun and informative way. Every half term, we will focus on a different text, culminating in a screening of a film adaptation. In the January-February half-term we will be reading The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde.
You will need a copy of the book, a pen and a notepad.
Sarah has a Master's Degree in English Language and has had several non-fiction works published. She has been teaching and tutoring English Language and Literature for over twenty years, including seven years’ teaching creative writing. She is looking forward to running a fun, supportive, interesting group where everyone can join in no matter how nervous you may feel about your abilities.
